Jade Cargill was attacked backstage this week on WWE SmackDown, and as of this writing the assailant remains unknown. Bianca Belair was in the ring at the time, while Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, and Tiffany Stratton were all known to be in the backstage area.
Cargill was found on the bonnet of a car and had been slammed onto the windscreen and as a result, she has suffered a myriad of injuries.
WWE released an injury update on the Women's Tag Team Champion where it was noted that she had suffered deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions, bruised kidney, sprained MCL in her right knee, tibial plateau bone bruise on her right knee, and facial lacerations. No timetable for her return has been announced by the company.

The issue with Jade Cargill's WWE absence now is that she could be stripped of the Women's Tag Team Championship if she is unable to defend them or Bianca Belair could be forced to look for a new partner.
It has already been revealed that Jade Cargill will be replaced in both the qualifying tournament for the Women's United States Championship on SmackDown and the WarGames Match at Survivor Series next weekend. However, if she is out for several weeks then she will likely not be able to keep the title with her.
The Women's Tag Team Championship is considered cursed and was even before Cargill's attack, but this wouldn't be the first time these straps have been surrendered if that is what ultimately happens.
Chelsea Green was forced to find a new partner after Sonya Deville got injured, which led to the alliance with Piper Niven.
The Women's Tag Team Championship was also vacated in 2022 when Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of a live episode of RAW and refused to return or defend the titles.
This appears to be a huge blow for Bianca Belair, who also lost out on her Triple Threat Qualifying Match for the Women's US Title against Blair Davenport and Chelsea Green when she rushed out to try and save her tag team partner. However, WWE always has a plan and it will be interesting to see what transpires in the coming weeks.
