Major backstage fight breaks out during WWE show; former AEW star involved

A major fight broke out during a current WWE show. This brawl involved a former AEW star.

Since Ethan Page debuted in WWE NXT, he has been on a meteoric rise. It didn't take him long to win the NXT Championship. However, his rise came to a screeching halt after he lost the title. He spent the next few weeks in pursuit of the title and wasn't able to regain the top prize of the brand. He even had a shot at the NXT North American Championship and fell short again.

Hence, Ethan Page looked like he was down on his confidence two weeks ago. However, Je'Von Evans came out and tried to motivate him. But this turned out to be a bad idea for the young star. Page not only attacked him but also broke his jaw.

Tonight on WWE NXT, Cedric Alexander addressed the attack in a backstage interview. He said he got a text from Je'Von about New Year's Evil but before he could reveal what the text said, Page interrupted him and said Cedric would soon be joining Evans. This upset Cedric who punched Ethan and they both brawled to the ring for their match.

It will be interesting to see whether Cedric Alexander will be able to get some revenge on behalf of Je'Von Evans tonight. Moreover, fans are also interested in seeing how the WWE and NXT creative teams, led by Triple H and Shawn Michaels respectively, handle Page, someone who has made the move to WWE quite late in his career.
