A wrestling veteran explained a former WWE champion's recent loss to Drew McIntyre. He believes this star's losing streak will continue even further.

Sami Zayn found himself a new enemy after Survivor Series: WarGames. On the December 2 episode of WWE RAW, he faced off against Seth Rollins. However, after the match, Drew McIntyre showed up and attacked him from behind. As a result, the former Intercontinental Champion challenged The Scottish Psychopath to a match at Saturday Night's Main Event.

However, this didn't end well for him as Drew defeated him at SNME, thereby extending his losing streak in singles matches to four. His last singles win came against Ludwig Kaiser on the September 23 episode of the red brand.

Speaking on his The Experience podcast, Jim Cornette reviewed the showdown between Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre, stating that the latter had to win his return match. He further said that Zayn is always portrayed as the underdog, hinting that his losing streak could continue because that's what worked for his gimmick.

"Drew had to win but Sami can lose without it hurting him because of not only the way that it's done, but also because the way he works and his gimmick. They like him and his never-ending underdog quest." [3:10 - 3:29]

Dutch Mantell discusses Drew McIntyre's sudden appearance on SmackDown

It looks like Drew McIntyre is still not over the Bloodline costing him the world title at Clash of the Castle. He has previously attacked Jey and Jimmy Uso as well as Sami Zayn. This week on SmackDown, he confronted Solo Sikoa and asked him if he was worried that he was going to target them next. Jimmy Uso interrupted him and attacked him with his crutch.

Speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the former WWE manager said that Drew's appearance on the blue brand was a surprise. He also said that the segment was well set up.

"Sometimes when you open with that, people say, 'It's more of the same.' But when Drew showed up, I didn't expect him to show up. That's what you're not expecting. And that's what keeps you saying, 'Okay, what are they gonna do with this?' So, it was well set up and well done. And then it worked right into a six-man, which was good." [From 17:40 to 17:58]

It will be interesting to see whether Drew McIntyre will also target The New Bloodline.
