CM Punk made his shocking return to WWE television, and not in the way anybody would've expected. After SmackDown went off the air, he also embraced two former Champions.

The ending of SmackDown left everyone stunned as not only did The Wiseman Paul Heyman return, but he made it clear that he had a plan for the OG Bloodline's fifth member. The episode of SmackDown somewhat revolved around the fact that Roman Reigns couldn't find member number five for his team - rejecting the idea of both Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins joining in.

After CM Punk was announced as the team member and made it clear that he was doing it for Heyman, the show went off the air. He was photographed embracing Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso in a wholesome post-show moment:

However, that post-show moment only lasted for a short while as WWE immediately began pre-taping the go-home episode of SmackDown to Survivor Series: WarGames - so be sure to avoid social media if you don't want to know the spoilers.

It seems like it could be used as a stepping stone to further the Punk vs. Seth Rollins feud for next year.

Things are getting hot on SmackDown again.
