WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman made a shocking return on last night's SmackDown. After the blue brand went off the air, The Wiseman was seen reuniting with the legendary eight-time champions.
The new Bloodline laid waste to Heyman after he refused to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as his Tribal Chief on the June 28, 2024, edition of the blue brand. When the 59-year-old veteran returned to SmackDown after almost five months, he came up with a plan.
The Wiseman found the fifth member of the OG Bloodline's team for the Men's WarGames Match in the form of CM Punk. Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Punk stood tall over the Sikoa-led group by the end of the show.
Since The Usos reunited a few weeks ago on WWE SmackDown in the absence of Paul Heyman, the latter was overwhelmed to see the twins on the same page again. The Hall of Famer was photographed embracing Jimmy and Jey Uso in a heartwarming post-show moment.
The Usos have held the tag team title a record-breaking eight times, comprising the RAW Tag Team Championship three times and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship five times.
As mentioned earlier, The Wiseman came back into the Bloodline fold with CM Punk. Wrestling veteran Vince Russo shared his two cents on the entire segment.
Speaking on an episode of BroDown with Mac Davis, Vince Russo claimed he could not take Paul Heyman's return seriously because he looked like he had spent excessive time on a tanning bed.
"Bro, I can't take a 60-something-year-old seriously who's been lying in a freaking tanning bed all week. Paul, stop! 60-year-olds don't lay [sic] in freaking tanning beds!" he said.
The addition of The Best in the World to Roman Reigns' team for the Men's Survivor Series: WarGames Match got the wrestling world hyped. It will be interesting to see if the WWE Hall of Famer has any plans to potentially betray the Original Tribal Chief since Punk is in the picture.
