Rhea Ripley reveals reason she was omitted from major WWE promotional material
Rhea Ripley revealed why she was not featured in WWE promotional material ahead of RAW's debut on Netflix. The Eradicator was in action last night during the historic edition of the red brand at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old responded to a wrestling fan on social media today who pointed out that she never posted a promotional video for Netflix. Ripley noted that she was recovering from a fractured orbital bone at the time and could not fly to film her promotional video for the streaming platform.
"Don’t have one, broke my face and couldn’t fly… Still THE face though 💁🏻♀️," she wrote.
Rhea Ripley competed in a marquee match last night on the red brand. Liv Morgan defended the Women's World Championship against Ripley with Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez ringside for the match.
Ripley was able to emerge victorious and captured the Women's World Championship once again. Dominik Mysterio attempted to hug the champion after the match, but she decided to hit him with a low blow instead. The former Judgment Day member then celebrated with The Undertaker on the entrance ramp following her major title victory.
Former WWE writer predicts Rhea Ripley's WrestleMania opponent
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently commented on who Rhea Ripley should face at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas after she became the new Women's World Champion.
Ripley held the title for 380 days before having to relinquish it due to injury following WrestleMania XL. Last night on WWE RAW, she recaptured the title she never lost and will likely defend it at this year's Show of Shows in April.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo suggested that Rhea Ripley would face Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41. Flair has not returned since suffering an injury in December 2023, and Lynch has not been seen on WWE television since May 2024.
"I would have to think it’s gotta be Charlotte or Becky because those are the only two that are gonna mean anything. Bianca Belair, maybe? But she’s doing the thing with Naomi now. I would think that Charlotte and Becky are the only two that make sense," he said. [From 26:09 onwards]
