Seth Rollins gives update on huge WWE name: "He'll be back soon"

Seth Rollins has been with World Wrestling Entertainment for over a decade and has wrestled athletes of different generations in the business. He and Randy Orton have a rich history on-screen in WWE that dates back to their days as members of The Authority.

In 2015, he was featured in two iconic WrestleMania moments. There was the Money in the Bank cash-in during the show's main event—now famously called the 'Heist of the Century'—and a mid-air RKO he took from Randy Orton earlier in the evening, which led to the deciding pinfall. Orton and Rollins subsequently feuded over the WWE Championship.

A few weeks ago, Kevin Owens hit a Piledriver on the legendary star, and the latter was stretchered out of the arena. In an interview with SI's Fantasy Dirt, Seth Rollins was asked point-blank about Randy Orton's injury on WWE SmackDown.

"That is out of my jurisdiction," Seth Rollins began. "I do know this. Randy does not have a healthy spine. Obviously he had surgery on it. Maybe last year, two years ago now, I think, on his lower back. So, hopefully Randy is not too injured. He'll be back soon. I promise. At some point. It's not so serious that he has to retire. I don't believe." [From 17:40 to 18:08]

This captivating angle has since been used to propel The Prizefighter's rivalry with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who challenged him this past Friday to a title match at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.

CM Punk returns on WWE SmackDown, will Seth Rollins retaliate?

Although technically, CM Punk has never attacked Seth Rollins in any form or fashion, The Best in the World has been a thorn in his side through the lens of the former World Heavyweight Champion. On RAW in October, Punk announced that he would be taking time off to heal up. Rollins interrupted his promo and stated that he wanted to send the former AEW star packing from WWE.

Cut to the latest episode of SmackDown, The Second City Saint made an unannounced return. It appears he is back to do Paul Heyman a favor. CM Punk will join Roman Reigns and crew inside WarGames to fight The Bloodline.

This came after Seth Rollins rejected multiple offers from the OG Bloodline to join them at Survivor Series: WarGames despite his ongoing feud with 'Big' Bronson Reed, who joined Solo Sikoa's team. But still, if The Visionary comprehends this as Punk taking his main event spot, perhaps retaliation could be on its way.
