WWE Superstar Seth Rollins' night on RAW's Netflix premiere did not go according to plan, as he lost to CM Punk. Similarly, Drew McIntyre also suffered a defeat at the hands of Jey Uso on this week's red brand's show.
The Visionary and The Scottish Warrior have been rivals for the past several years. One of their most memorable feuds culminated at WrestleMania 40, where McIntyre defeated Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
On the December 16, 2024, edition of RAW, Drew McIntyre seemed poised to attack The Revolutionary backstage. However, Sami Zayn intercepted the potential assault, and a brawl ensued between the two men.
That being said, Seth Rollins, in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, heavily praised the former World Heavyweight Champion. The former Shield member stated that Drew McIntyre deserves the spotlight following The Scottish Psychopath's strong performance in 2024.
"But Drew [McIntyre] had a really good year [2024] after [WrestleMania 40] that, so I kind of stick with what I said. He does deserve the spotlight," he said. [H/T: CVV]
Seth Rollins also acknowledged McIntyre's growth and improvement since the latter's return, stating that he is one of the best performers in the company, both in the ring and on the microphone. The former WWE Universal Champion added:
"Say what you will about him being a super troll online, when you get him out there in the ring, whether it's with a microphone or in a match, he's one of the best there is." [H/T: CVV]

During the same interaction, The Visionary also addressed when he would retire from full-time in-ring duties.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion acknowledged his age and the evolving nature of the wrestling industry while expressing confidence in his ability to continue wrestling for more than a couple of years.
"I think about it all the time. I am 38; I will be 39 in May. I think I’ve got more than a couple years left in me. The dynamic of the industry has shifted so much," Rollins said.
It remains to be seen what the RAW Superstar plans to do after losing to CM Punk on the first episode of the flagship show on Netflix.
