"There's always a chance" - Major WWE star teases entering his first ever Royal Rumble Match in 2025
A WWE champion recently hinted at debuting next year in the annual multi-man gimmick match. The 38th edition of the Royal Rumble will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The premium live event will feature the classic Men's and Women's Royal Rumble Matches each, where 30 wrestlers enter the ring sequentially and eliminate each other until a sole survivor emerges. The victors of each division will secure a world championship opportunity of their choice at WWE WrestleMania 41. And now Trick Williams has teased his participation in 2025.
Today, in an interview on Ten Count Media, Trick Williams was asked about the possibility of him entering the Men's Royal Rumble Match for the first time. The reigning WWE NXT Champion said, "There's always a chance," and even suggested he could be a unique and exciting addition to the event.
"I wish I had some control over that. But, either way, it goes man, I'm sure the 'Rumble would be great. There's always a chance, there's always a chance. The Royal Rumble needs Batman [someone like me]," Williams said. [From 00:14 to 00:29]

Trick Williams says he consulted WWE legend before doing a storyline with real-life partner Lash Legend
The Anointed One and Meta-Four group member Lash Legend are dating in real life. The duo confirmed their relationship on NXT after they shared a kiss on WWE television in March 2024.
During the same interaction on Ten Count Media, Trick Williams revealed that he consulted WWE legend CM Punk about his romantic storyline with Lash Legend. He referenced the former World Champion's onscreen romantic experience with real-life partner, AJ Lee.
"I was talking to CM Punk, who just happened to be around this day [of NXT taping]. I was like, 'Punk, what do you think about working a storyline with your actual partner?' He's like, 'I did do that. I kissed AJ [Lee]; actually, our first kiss was on TV.' I was like, 'Oh, so it all worked out for you.' Yeah, we [are] doing this. Now, you have the Trick and Lash [Legend] storyline," he said.
The 30-year-old star is set to defend his NXT Championship against Ridge Holland at the Deadline Premium Live Event on December 7, 2024.
Only time will tell if The Anointed One will retain his title against the former member of The Brawling Brutes.
