WWE RAW's Netflix debut has been, for the most part, met with critical acclaim. The red brand premiered on the streaming giant last Monday. The show featured a new presentation, camera shots, and ring mat among other changes.

Speaking on a recent edition of What Were They Thinking? on Backstage Pass, JBL gave his honest opinion on WWE RAW's Netflix debut, calling it the greatest thing he'd ever seen.

"That show I saw this past Monday, that was just about the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life. That was beyond belief how good that was. It's shocking to me how good they are. I mean, it's the best entertainment company - not wrestling - best entertainment company in the world right now there. There's no comparison. They're hitting on every cylinder." [From 31:56 onwards]

Earlier on in the show, JBL talked about how WWE Network influenced Netflix when it came to their business model. He also noted that launching the network almost turned out to be a bad business decision for the promotion.

"Vince was sitting there trying to build a model, refigure the model, figure all that out. We were so far ahead of the curve... It was almost a bad that decision. If it hadn't been for Vince, Kevin Dunn, and that entire incredible management team, that would have never worked because we were way too far ahead of the curve. And a lot of what you see with Netflix now is because that model was built off the streaming... off that $9.99." [From 12:14 onwards]

JBL didn't appear on WWE RAW's Netflix premiere. It remains to be seen if Triple H has any plans for the Hall of Famer to appear on television.
