Top WWE legend, not The Rock, forming faction to fight a unified Bloodline is possible, says veteran

A WWE legend is expected to return after several months of absence in 2025. A wrestling veteran suggested he could form a faction to go to war with a unified Bloodline.

On a recent episode of the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry predicted that The Rock would return next year to unify the OG Bloodline and the new Bloodline under his leadership. He claimed the faction would be a heel working against the rest of the wrestling world. His co-host, ECW legend Tommy Dreamer, suggested a returning John Cena could form a faction to clash with the unified Bloodline.

The wrestling veteran stated that the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes could also lead a babyface faction to counter a heel Bloodline, pointing out that the company has a "boatload" of babyfaces that can go to war against The Rock's potential group:

"I like this idea. I think it's different and because then the first thing that goes to my head is what if John Cena gets a group of guys to go up against this, or Cody? I mean, we're also, if it's John Cena [vs.] Rock, Cody [vs.] Roman, I mean, even Roman's a big babyface. It's a different perspective but WWE does have a boatload of babyfaces to also counter that. And that is a massive massive undertaking," he said. [1:44 - 2:17]

Bully Ray wants The Rock to return to WWE full-time in 2025

John Cena will have his final full-time run in the Stamford-based company next year. Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Hall of Famer Bully Ray suggested that The Rock does the same.

The multi-time tag team champion expressed his desire to see The Rock invest a year in WWE to put over several current superstars:

"I wanna see The Rock use his character, his star power, the amount of that spotlight that he commands to help get everybody else over. One Rock can get over a plethora of talent. Give guys and gals the bump that they need to move up the card. So, that's the broad stroke of what I'd like to see from him. A little bit more of a full-time investment," he said.

The Rock and John Cena have previously exchanged victories at WrestleMania. In April, The Final Boss took the 16-time world champion out with a Rock Bottom during Roman Reigns' Bloodline Rules match against Cody Rhodes at this year's Show of Shows. It would be interesting to see if they will cross paths again in 2025.
