Two ex-AEW names "belong in the Hall of Fame" in WWE, says Bill Apter (Exclusive)
WWE Hall of Fame celebrates some of the most legendary names in the pro wrestling business. According to veteran journalist Bill Apter, former AEW stars Matt and Jeff Hardy also deserve an induction.
The Hardy Boyz have had a distinguished career in the pro wrestling business, having been a part of several wrestling promotions over the years. Jeff and Matt are multi-time tag team champions in WWE and have also won several singles titles in the Stamford-based company. The legendary duo departed Tony Khan's promotion last year. They are the current TNA World Tag Team Champions.
Speaking about The Hardy Boyz on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter had the following to say:
"Both Hardys belong in [sic] the Hall of Fame, Matt and Jeff Hardy, absolutely. Stellar career from, you know, their indie days, you know, in North Carolina, all the way to their WWE career was magnificient. And their AEW [run], they did okay. They are in TNA; they are doing really well. So they belong in [sic] the Hall of Fame.'' [3:51 onwards]

The two WWE veterans are not retiring anytime soon
While Jeff and Matt Hardy have been in the wrestling business for quite a long time, they are not thinking of retiring soon.
In a recent conversation with the Sports Guys Talking Wrestling podcast, Matt said:
"I think if you would have asked us this a couple years ago, maybe, it would have. But this run in TNA, and the way we both feel physically, like [Jeff] said, 'These ice baths, the inflammation is down, and our bodies feel better,' and it's a ritual we do every single morning when we get up, and we're definitely dedicated to it; it's in our routine, no doubt. As of now, it remains to be seen if Jeff and Matt will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future.
