A top champion has asked for a match to be canceled minutes before WWE SmackDown starts tonight. The General Manager, Nick Aldis, is yet to respond to the demand.
Last year, Chelsea Green made history by becoming the first-ever WWE Women's United States Champion. There was no stopping her from getting the title as she did so after a huge run and thanks to support from fans as well. While she's a heel, her character is beloved by the fans for what it brings to the table. She has also been a pain in the side of both Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce.
Tonight, she's supposed to face Mia Yim in a match for the United States Championship, defending her title against a familiar opponent. However, the champion is not exactly eager to do it.
She sent a message after seeing WWE post about the two matches from tonight, which had Shinsuke Nakamura defending his title against LA Knight, and Mia Yim challenging her. She said that they could cancel her match as there was no need for it.
"Ok but can we just cancel this match? No need for it."
Nick Aldis has not responded to her demand, and is unlikely to cancel the match when he does see the message.
