Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are certainly one of the most powerful tag teams in WWE at the moment. However, a veteran recently explained why these two stars should not have been booked to be a team.
There have been a few rumors that Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair do not get along well in real life. Barring that, Vince Russo still thought it was a bad idea to book them together. According to him, both could be very talented singles stars and help build others as well.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, the WWE veteran stated:
"As a writer, if I have Batman and I have Superman, I am not taking two stars and making them one. I am putting somebody with Batman to raise them up. I am putting somebody with Superman to raise them up. So now I got 4 stars... I think that roster needs both of those women as singles wrestlers, but Jade is green. I mean, that's the problem." According to Vince Russo, Bianca Belair has lost the momentum she had by becoming Jade Cargill's tag team partner at this point.
While Russo thought both Jade and Bianca could be amazing singles stars, he also believed it was a disadvantage for the EST of WWE to be partnered with Cargill right now. Speaking on the same episode of Writing with Russo, the veteran stated:
"Bianca Belair was a women's champion. So she's here (gestures high). Oh okay Bianca, now we are gonna put you with Jade Cargill, and you will be tag (team champions). Bro, that's here now (gestures low). Thinks about that. If I am Bianca Belair, I am like, 'Well, wait a minute. I was the women's champion; now you are gonna put me in a tag team?' I would have an issue with that. That's not progressing; that's coming down." [From 3:34 onwards]
Fans will have to stay tuned to see what is next for the duo down the line in WWE.
