WWE heads over to SAP Center in San Jose, California, for the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW. Ahead of the show, the wrestling promotion has already spoiled a major surprise set for the event.
On the red brand's Netflix debut last week, Chad Gable approached the RAW General Manager Adam Pearce to demand a match with the best Luchador. The GM agreed and booked the match for the January 13 edition of the show. Owing to the several teases over the last few weeks, many fans are expecting former AEW star Pentagon Jr. to be the American Made leader's mystery opponent.
Despite the speculation, the global juggernaut has yet to officially announce Penta's debut. However, with Pentagon Jr.'s merchandise now available for purchase on WWEShop prior to Monday Night RAW, the Stamford-based company appears to have spoiled the surprise for the fans.
Wrestling legend Eric Bischoff has made a major claim about Pentagon Jr.'s WWE future even before his debut. The former RAW General Manager is skeptical of the wrestling promotion signing the former AEW star.
Penta is headed to the Stamford-based company after wrestling for several promotions all over the world. The 39-year-old has won multiple titles in his two-decade-long career. The former Impact World Champion reportedly became a free agent on November 30, ending his five-year run with AEW.
However, ahead of Penta's WWE debut, Eric Bischoff shared his concerns regarding the wrestling promotion's latest acquisition. On his 83 Weeks podcast, the 69-year-old claimed that the former AEW World Tag Team Champion would get lost on a show as big as Monday Night RAW.
"He'll get lost in all the bright shiny objects and celebrities and Gaga, he'll get lost in the middle of that," he said. [From 43:55 to 44:03]
Pentagon Jr. has impressed wrestling fans with his in-ring work throughout his career. It remains to be seen if he can perform at the same level in the Stamford-based company.
