WWE opened its own forbidden door several months back, and the company continues to see its Superstars thrive in crossover appearances. After a massive inter-promotional booking, one international star is calling out another top-tier talent, and it appears the match is on.
WWE NXT Superstars hit the GCW stage this past weekend at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport XII, which also featured talents from AEW, ROH, and TNA, among other promotions. NXT's No Quarter Catch Crew was in action as Heritage Cup Champion Charlie Dempsey defeated Tracy Williams in a non-title match. Myles Borne was at ringside for Dempsey's nine-minute victory. NQCC was later in action as Royce Isaacs defeated Borne. Dempsey was ringside for the eight-minute TKO loss.
In July, Mr. Burbank defeated Dempsey at Bloodsport XI and now has a win over Borne. Isaacs took to X to issue a challenge to NQCC's other male stablemate, Tavion Heights. The match would be for a future Bloodsport card.
"Shoutout to Charlie and Myles they are tough as they come @TavionHeights, but I'm up 2-0 on NQCC at Bloodsport now You should want revenge And me? Ive always wanted to wrestle an Olympian Respectfully, get whatever permission slip you need signed and come face me at Bloodsport," Royce Isaacs wrote.
Heights then fired back and seemingly set up a match for next Tuesday's NXT. The Olympic wrestler issued a six-word warning to Isaacs, who would be making his debut for the company.
"Be careful what you wish for….," Tavion Heights wrote.
WWE officials chose the No Quarter Catch Crew to play a vital role in the Forbidden Door crossover promotions. Dempsey, Borne, and Heights have appeared for AJPW, ROW, TNA, GCW, and Pro Wrestling NOAH.
WWE's third annual NXT Deadline PLE will take place in ten days, live from The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Below is the updated lineup:
