A WWE star just picked up his first televised win in nine months. He attacked LA Knight after the match.
Shinsuke Nakamura's booking over the past year has disappointed a lot of fans. He had a not-so-acclaimed feud with Cody Rhodes last year as it failed to establish him as a top heel in the company. His lackluster booking continued into this year as well.
Shinsuke Nakamura was on a four-match losing streak on RAW earlier this year with his last televised win taking place on the February 26 episode of the red brand. The King of Strong Style was absent from TV after his loss to Sheamus in April.
Please note that the piece contains SPOILERS for the upcoming episode of SmackDown.
However, last week, Nakamura showed up on SmackDown and assaulted LA Knight from behind. But he didn't stop there as the Japanese star sent a warning to the United States Champion before his title defense tonight. Following the match, Nakamura ambushed Knight again.
WWE is taping next week's episode of SmackDown following tonight's show since many of the talent will be in Canada for Survivor Series. During the pretaped show, Shinsuke Nakamura picked up the win against Andrade.
Following the match, the King of Strong Style kept up his trend of assaulting the United States Champion by spraying mist in the champ's eyes.
It will be interesting to see if Nakamura will be able to take the US Title from LA Knight.
