There is no love lost between WWE Superstars Otis and Chad Gable. The two had been inseparable for the longest time until the latter turned heel and started berating his Number One Guy.
Otis eventually snapped and attacked Gable, freeing himself and the rest of the Alpha Academy from the tyrannical ex-Olympian. However, they never faced each other. The two have crossed paths again on WWE television recently, with it now looking like the match will finally happen.
Away from the ring, Chad Gable continues to be petty towards Otis. He proved this by leaving a rude comment on the former Money in the Bank winner's social media post about his birthday. Otis took to his official Instagram handle to send a heartfelt message to his fellow wrestlers, fans, friends, and family. Here is how Gable "wished" him:
"Unhappy Birthday," commented Gable.
Otis flat-out ignored the comment, which means he wasn't happy about it at all. This also confirms that he can stand up for himself against his former leader. That quality would come in handy in the final leg of their feud on Monday Night RAW.
The Alpha Academy split was one of WWE's biggest missed opportunities in 2024. Fans were completely behind Otis as he finally put his hands on Gable two days after Clash at the Castle in June. However, on that same show, the ex-Olympian was attacked by The Wyatt Sicks. This caused an abrupt end to their angle.
Now that this story is back, it seems like Otis will finally get to face Chad Gable soon. It could happen as soon as Monday Night RAW's premiere on Netflix. The former multi-time Tag Team Champion faced Akira Tozawa in a match that will air on tonight's episode of the red brand.
We are two weeks away from January 6th. That seems like a logical point for the storyline to finally conclude, as Otis gets his big win and Gable is shipped to SmackDown along with his new faction, American Made.
