Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell spoke about Shinsuke Nakamura facing Andrade on SmackDown. The two stars duked it out in a non-title match this week.
Shinsuke Nakamura and Andrade put on an instant classic on the three-hour debut of SmackDown this week. The match was filled with near falls and close calls as the two stars tried to get one over the other. Finally, Nakamura hit a vicious DDT on his opponent to win the encounter.
This week on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Mantell mentioned it was a thrilling matchup with several near falls. He felt the final Kinshasa after the DDT on the top turnbuckle was the exclamation point. The wrestling veteran explained that WWE told a compelling story within the time allotted to the stars.
"I was like, if he kicks out of this, I'm would go down where they write SmackDown and I would slap the whole creative team. If he kicked out of that, I said my God. But anyway, very well done. It took them where they wanted to go, didn't take them all day and it was good." [From 24:48 onwards]
After the match, LA Knight blindsided the champ to exact revenge. He was about to hit the BFT but Shinsuke Nakamura escaped.
Knight then took the mic and issued a warning to the champ, claiming that he was coming to get his United States Championship back.
