"You can't be surprised" - WWE Hall of Famer thinks he knows why Hulk Hogan was booed on RAW

Hulk Hogan returned to WWE on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW and was heavily booed by the crowd. Eric Bischoff thinks he knows why that happened.

The Hulkster was trying to promote his beer brand, which is co-owned by the Stamford-based company. While he was speaking on the entranceway, the fans in attendance were jeering, and it was loud. Even though the segment only lasted a few minutes, it got a lot of attention online.

Speaking on the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff stated that he thinks Hulk Hogan got booed due to his political views. He explained that since the show was in California, The Immortal One likely received a negative reception because he endorsed Donald Trump.

"If you're someone who hasn't spent a lot of time in California, particularly LA or San Francisco, you've heard all the stories about how liberal it is and all that, but until you've been there and realized just how intensely liberal and Democrat California is, you might not think that could possibly be the reason why Hulk got booed," said Bischoff. "But Hulk and Trump are kind of joined at the hip now in the eyes of many, at least publicly ... you're gonna have some backlash in California. You can't be shocked, you can't be surprised — you could be disappointed, but can't be surprised." (H/T Wrestling INC.)

Former WWE star EC3 questions whether Hulk Hogan is the most hated and least respected wrestling legend

The Hulkster was a huge name in professional wrestling during his active days, and he drew a lot of money for WWE and WCW. However, he did and said some things that a lot of people didn't like, which ruined his reputation.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's UnSKripted, EC3 wondered whether Hulk Hogan is the most hated and least respected legend in wrestling.

"Is he the most hated and least respected? I think personally, last 24 hours, sure. But like respecting the man or the body of work, it's like a musician or an actor gives opinion that you don't like, do you disrespect their work? I would think, 'Well, maybe do, maybe don't, whatever you want to do.'"

Just because Hulk Hogan was booed on RAW doesn't mean he won't appear on WWE TV anymore. He'll most likely make another appearance or two in the future.
