Last week on SmackDown, Jade Cargill was written out of WWE television with a vicious assault, and the company stated on social media that she suffered a slew of injuries. A new report has revealed an unfortunate update about her return timeline.
On WrestleVotes Radio on Backstage Pass, JoeyVotes and TC spoke briefly about the Women's Tag Team Champion and what lies next for Bianca Belair. Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio reported that while one or two of the injuries that WWE stated could be real, the injury itself has been kept a secret to the point that even people close to Cargill weren't aware of it.
The way the injuries were listed made it clear that WWE wants us to believe she will be out for a long time. Thankfully, it may not be long enough to miss WrestleMania 41, but it's still longer than expected.
JoeyVotes stated that Jade Cargill is set to be out of action until after the 2024 Royal Rumble. In addition, WWE is expected to strip Bianca Belair of the Women's Tag Team Championship, making it vacant again.
Bianca Belair refused to even consider Bayley as a replacement for Jade Cargill at Survivor Series: WarGames due to their history against each other. However, The Role Model has been a babyface for a while now and seems to be one of the only people who isn't being considered as the one who attacked Cargill.
With Bayley helping Bianca Belair in the main event of RAW against Nia Jax to help her team get the WarGames advantage, it seemed to clear her of any wrongdoing.
Naomi has been suspected the most due to her close relationship with Belair and Cargill on screen. She has always been presented as the neutral babyface when it came to Bianca and Bayley, and after the EST of WWE gave an update on her partner, The Glow was surprisingly apathetic and quick to change the topic of discussion.
It's going to be interesting to see how this story plays out.
