The Rock's return to WWE has been awaited by millions around the world, thanks to his entertaining run on The Road to WrestleMania XL and the show itself. Recent reports now suggest that The People's Champion will be a part of the upcoming edition of WrestleMania as well. The Brahma Bull will reportedly face a 39-year-old WWE star in the main event of the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Since his appearances last year, there has been an exciting story brewing between The Rock and Cody Rhodes. Both men have unfinished business after the RAW episode following WrestleMania XL, with a potential match promised down the line.
As per a recent update from Xero News, a match between both men is all set to take place on Night Two at The Grandest Stage of Them All this year. The report further hinted that the match was set to have a championship involved, which increases the anticipation over their potential feud.
"'Mania Night 2 is Rock vs. Cody for the title," reported Xero News.
However, it isn't clear if their match would have the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line. If one goes back to their confrontation back on the RAW after WrestleMania, the match could also have the People's Championship involved.
The People's Champion was earlier featured in the promotional video for WWE RAW's debut on Netflix, teasing a massive return on the historic episode. A few hours ago, The Rock himself confirmed his presence with a post on Instagram.
The legend stated that he would dedicate his appearance to his grandfather, his grandmother, his father, and all the ancestors who paved the way for him and his other family members.
Fans will now have to wait and see what role The Final Boss will play on his return to the Stamford-based company on the historic red brand episode.
