CM Punk is finally back in WWE! The Best in the World returned as the fifth member of the OG Bloodline's WarGames team, with Paul Heyman bringing him out. It will be interesting to see how Punk does alongside Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Sami Zayn.
It will be the 46-year-old star's first match since defeating Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood 2024. However, the Chicago native's WarGames appearance may not be a complete one-and-done.
It will seemingly be used as fuel for CM Punk's potential feud with Seth Rollins, who was considered to be the fifth member of the OG Bloodline's WarGames team. The Visionary rejected the offer, citing his issues with Roman Reigns.
According to WRKD Wrestling, Punk will bring this up while feuding with Rollins. They are reportedly headed for a match at WrestleMania 41:
"CM Punk joining Team OG Bloodline will be used as fuel in the Rollins/Punk feud in the future with Punk citing that he stepped up to help when Rollins didn’t. Still heading toward that Mania match," WRKD Wrestling reported.
Rollins' initial reaction to Punk taking the spot that was earmarked for him will be one to watch. Whether their storyline kicks off right after Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 or directly next year, it's time to get excited!
