WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio’s son, Dominik Mysterio, has been riding a massive wave of success. The second-generation star has perfected his heel persona on Monday Night RAW and is carrying forward the legacy of his father and family.

Meanwhile, Rey’s daughter, Aalyah Mysterio, gained massive popularity on WWE television in 2020. The 23-year-old was involved in a storyline in which she kissed former NXT Tag Team Champion Buddy Matthews (FKA Buddy Murphy).

However, despite gaining momentum in the company before her brother, Aalyah made only a handful of appearances on TV when Dominik Mysterio feuded with The Master of 619.

Recently, while talking to Peter Rosenberg at ComplexCon, Rey Mysterio revealed why her daughter had not followed in his footsteps like Dirty Dom despite being famous among professional wrestling fans. The WWE Hall of Famer revealed his daughter was busy pursuing her medical career.

“She also loves it as much as Dom did. We played wrestling a lot, but for some reason, she was more on my wife’s side. She was the one who liked to study; one of those girls [getting] A+s all the time, still to this day, always; she’s very dedicated to her education. So she, on the other hand, is pursuing her medical career,” Rey Mysterio said.

What’s next for Rey Mysterio’s son on Monday Night RAW?

Dominik Mysterio is currently aligned with The Judgment Day and is in an on-screen relationship with reigning Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.

However, in recent weeks, significant tension has grown within The Judgment Day, particularly between Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio. It all started after Dirty Dom expressed his desire to win the World Heavyweight Title.

The Latino Cheat defeated Damian Priest in a singles match on the October 28, 2024, edition of RAW, leading to a verbal altercation between the 27-year-old and The Prince earlier this month.

It will be interesting to see if Dirty Dom turns on his stablemate in the coming weeks.
