Welcome to the December 23, 2024, edition of WWE News Roundup. In today's piece, we will look at stories revolving around Roman Reigns and The Wyatt Sicks, among others.
Also, a major superstar has confirmed their exit from their faction. We will check it out in addition to looking at the Monday Night RAW preview.
Things are heating up on the red brand as we inch closer to the brand's move to Netflix. RAW's debut on the OTT platform will be loaded with major matches, and the build-up for them is expected to continue on the show tonight.
In the Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament, Kairi Sane was slated to face Natalya and Alba Fyre in a Triple-Threat Match. However, the Japanese star was attacked backstage last week and has been ruled out of the tournament. We will find out her replacement on the show tonight. Dexter Lumis of The Wyatt Sicks will face The Miz in the other announced match. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins will sit down with Jackie Redmond to discuss his upcoming match against CM Punk.
Michin returned to WWE shortly after Triple H took control of the company's creative direction. The female star joined forces with The O.C. upon her return, helping the group in their war against The Judgment Day, which had Rhea Ripley back then.
However, The O.C. members have not been seen together in a long time, with AJ Styles and Karl Anderson currently injured. Michin recently confirmed that she is also no longer a part of the faction:
"It feels like a situationship, like a complicated situationship that, I don't even know what’s happening because AJ is on the dark side, but I still have so much love for him. That’s my uncle Al right there. Luke and Karl, even though they’re with AJ on the dark side, I’m like, no, regardless of what they do, I will always support them; I will always love them," Michin said.
Roman Reigns is set to face Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat on RAW's premiere on Netflix. While The OTC had mostly gotten the better of his cousin in their feud, wrestling veteran Jim Cornette believed that he could lose the match on RAW because WWE also needed to keep Sikoa's credibility alive.
"We got Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman going not only now for an Emmy but also potentially an award in cinematography… They've been fooling us for about three years now, so maybe Roman gets beat on this one, but maybe he gets beat in such a way… It would be hard to figure out a way to keep Solo scary if he just got beat at Survivor Series and now he gets beat on this widely watched special, because then, if you do the heat afterward, you're just doing the same thing," said Jim Cornette
Solo Sikoa could get help from Drew McIntyre as the Scottish Warrior looks to exact revenge on the OG Bloodline members.
The Wyatt Sicks have been terrorizing the WWE roster since making their debut a few months back. While the faction is one of the hottest things on RAW, Konnan had a word of advice for three of its members.
The wrestling veteran noted that he would like to see Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, and Joe Gacy also wrestle in their masks.
"I just think that the other guys, they don't look like supernatural like Uncle Howdy and Nikki Cross. They just look like normal wrestlers. I think they should have a mask on also. You know what I'm saying? Or something covering half their face or painted or something where they don't look like normal wrestlers. It's like you have two people that look kind of supernatural and then three that don't," Konnan said.
The Wyatt Sicks is currently involved in a feud with the Final Testament and The Miz. Dexter Lumis will make his singles in-ring return on WWE RAW this week, where he will face the A-Lister.
