Welcome to the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News & Rumor Roundup. Today, we have some big stories for you.

Among them is an update on Jade Cargill, following her unfortunate injury. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns has spoken about a potential dream match he could have soon. Lastly, the early favorite to win the 2025 men's Royal Rumble has reportedly been determined.

So, without further ado, let's get into today's stories.

#1. Latest on Jade Cargill's injury and WWE absence

While the nature of it isn't known, Jade Cargill's real-life injury is apparently pretty serious. She was written off WWE television in a brutal way last week on SmackDown, being left bloodied on the hood of a car.

WrestleVotes has provided an update on Cargill on a Live Q&A with Bill Apter on Backstage Pass. He mentioned the details are being kept quiet and that The Storm will be out for a long time:

"I've done some digging, and it's just like it's reported elsewhere. Everything's being kept very quiet. I do know that I won't expect her (to return) anytime soon. And anytime soon being a very long time." [02:15 onwards]

Previous reports indicated Jade Cargill won't be back for a minimum of three months, but this update suggests it could potentially be worse. This means she might miss WrestleMania 41. It remains to be seen how WWE's plans for Bianca Belair may change following her tag team partner's injury.

#2. Roman Reigns on whether he's interested in facing The Rock

The Rock vs. Roman Reigns remains one of the biggest dream matches in WWE. It almost happened this year at WrestleMania XL, only for fans to rally behind Cody Rhodes and ensure he challenged The Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship instead.

Reigns was recently asked about whether he'd still be interested in facing The Rock. Speaking during an interview with Sports Illustrated, The Head of the Table said the match could happen as long as the fans and The Final Boss want it:

"Business is great, and we just want to continue to push things up. So, if that's what the people want and The People's Champ is down, I'm sure we can make something happen," said Roman Reigns. [33:58-34:08]

It will be interesting to see whether Roman Reigns faces The Rock at WrestleMania 41. The match is possible, following the Hollywood megastar's latest WWE appearance at the end of Bad Blood in October.

#3. John Cena to win the 2025 Royal Rumble Match?

Next year's Royal Rumble promises to be one of the most exciting in recent history. With WWE set to debut on Netflix, the stars will be out. And it looks like one of the returning names might be the front-runner to win the 30-man Rumble.

As per BetOnline, John Cena is the odds-on favorite to win the Royal Rumble despite not officially being announced for it yet. CM Punk is right behind him in second, while The Rock and Roman Reigns are also in the mix with decent chances as per the trends.

If he emerges victorious on February 1st, Cena will become the second man to win three Royal Rumbles. He would then get a chance to win his record-breaking 17th world title at WrestleMania 41.
