Multiple stars, including The Rock, entered the arena before WWE NXT New Year's Evil kicked off. We had some great matches tonight, and The Rock showed up in the final moments, making this a historic NXT special.
Perez went for a pin immediately, and Giulia tried for a submission hold before Roxanne turned it into a headlock. The champ took some big moves early on before returning with a takedown and a stomp on Giulia's elbow.
The champ hit a Frankensteiner as the match went on, followed by more stomps and an armbreaker. Giulia got a big suplex, but Perez returned with one of her own.
The two traded slaps in the center of the ring before Giulia blocked the Pop Rox. The match headed outside, and Cora Jade intervened and helped Roxanne beat the count. Back in the ring, the champ hit Pop Rox before Giulia got her with the Northern Lights Bomb for the win!

Backstage, we saw Eddy Thorpe attacked and lying on the floor. Ava ran in with medics and said Thorpe would have to compete with his injuries if he wanted his match tonight.
Je'Von Evans was in a promo and said he wanted revenge on Ethan Page for breaking his jaw.
We got a big brawl to kick off the match, and Kelani got the early advantage before Cora came in with a neckbreaker. Jordan took out Vic,e and Cora hit a cannonball before Vaquer took Kelani out with Dragon Screw.
Lola returned and locked in a hold, but Vaquer broke it up with a kick. Vice sent Vaquer outside before Jade took the Olympic Slam from Jordan. Kelani went for the 450 splash but missed before we got a sequence of moves leading to Vaquer hitting her finisher on Jordan for the win.

Fatal Influence attacked the babyfaces immediately, and Paxley was in the ring with Nyx after the ring was cleared. Paxley got a near fall off a big suplex before Shotzi came in, and Fallon took her out with an elbow strike.
Dolin was tagged in, and Jayne took her out with a cannonball before Shotzi suplexed Nyx out of the ring. Paxley got a big suplex on Jayne before Dolin returned and tried for a dive and a neckbreaker combo, but the heels broke up the pin.
Shotzi came in with a diving senton on Henley and picked up the win.

Ethan Page argued with Ava about not being on the show when The Rock appeared behind him. The Rock asked about Ethan breaking Je'Von's jaw, and Page said he deserved it.
Dwayne said Page could come to him if he needed anything, but he also reminded him that Ava was NXT's Final Boss. Dwayne said he would see Page on the main roster soon before the show moved on.
King had the early advantage with some headlock attempts before the match headed outside, and Lexis hit a big dive on all of NQCC. In the ring, King got a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall before getting caught in an armbar and then a cross-face.
Dempsey got some big boots and strikes on King before the two took each other out in the middle of the ring. King returned with a backslide before Dempsey hit a leapfrog takedown, but Lexis hit the Coronation for the win.

Oba was in control early on, but Trick hit a big uranage and made some kicks to drop him and cause a near-fall.
Trick was setting up for the Trick Shot but was caught and slammed in the ring before the champ countered a powerbomb into a big DDT.
Trick missed the Trick Shot a second time and took a big uppercut before Femi got the powerbomb, but Eddy Thorpe came out and broke the pin.
Oba dragged Eddy into the ring and hit him with a spinebuster and a massive toss followed by elbows in the corner.
Williams used the distraction to hit the Trick Shot knee but failed to get the pin. Thorpe came in at the last second and got in the way of the second Trick Shot before Oba hit the powerbomb and picked up the win.
Result: Oba Femi def. Trick Williams to become the new NXT Champion

The Rock was out next. After greeting the crowd, he talked about how everyone complained last year about him being mean to Cody. Now that he was nice to Cody last night, everyone told him that he couldn't be nice to the WWE Champion.
Dwayne reminded everyone that he was the 'Final Boss' and was 20 steps ahead of everyone. He said he spoke to Triple H and others backstage about coming to the show, and even Ava hyped it up for him.
The Rock added that the fans were the most important part, and the superstars we saw here tonight could headline WrestleMania in three years.
The Rock thanked the fans and headed out before New Year's Evil went off the air.
