Celje and Jagiellonia will trade tackles in a UEFA Europa Conference League fixture on Thursday (November 28th). The game will be played at Stadion Z'dezele.
The home side are coming into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over Koper at the same venue in the Slovenian Prva Liga over the weekend. Ivan Brnic's 15th-minute strike proved to be the difference between the two sides.
Jagiellonia, meanwhile, shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at home to Slask Wroclaw. They went behind to Arnau Ortiz's 34th-minute strike but Lamine Diaby-Fadiga equalized five minutes later. Jesus Imaz and Jakub Jezierski scored late second half goals to ensure the game was drawn.
Jaga will now shift focus to Europe, where their last Conference League game saw them claim a 3-0 home win over Molde. Celje fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Real Betis in this competition last time out.
The loss left The Yellow and Blues in 20th spot in the table with three points from as many games. Jagiellonia are third with maximum points from three games.
Celje are in a congested section of the Conference League table, with nine sides currently all tied on three points. Albert Riera's side have a superior goal difference though. However, they will be coming up against one of the most dominant sides in the tournament.
Jagiellonia are only making their debut in the main stage of a UEFA club competition. However, Adrian Siemieniec's side have taken to this stage like a fish to water and are one of six sides to have won all three games so far. But two consecutive 2-2 draws in the league have seen their title defense hit a bump as they now trail leaders Lech Poznan by three points.
We are backing the visitors to claim all three points with a narrow victory and goals at both ends.
Prediction: Celje 1-2 Jagiellonia
Tip 1 - Jagiellonia to win
Tip 2 - Both teams to score
Tip 3 - Over 2.5 goals
