Pep Guardiola has reportedly identified three winter targets following Manchester City's poor run of form across all competitions in the ongoing campaign.

The Cityzens, who have won all of the past four Premier League titles, have recently emerged as a hot topic of discussion due to their performances. They have lost five and drawn one of their last six overall outings, conceding 17 goals.

Now, according to Spanish news outlet Fichajes.net, Guardiola has asked his club's hierarchy to bolster three positions next January. Firstly, he is keen to lure Martin Zubimendi away from Real Sociedad due to Rodri's long-term injury.

Secondly, the ex-Barcelona boss is interested in adding Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz to his Manchester City squad in the winter transfer window. Lastly, he is hoping to have Sporting CP ace Maximiliano Araujo at his disposal next year.

While Zubimendi would emerge as a vital starter for Manchester City in a number six role this season, Wirtz would replace Kevin De Bruyne in the future. Araujo would offer stellar depth at both left-back and left-sided winger roles at the club.

Ex-Manchester City duo left stunned after draw

Earlier on Tuesday (November 26), Manchester City recorded a 3-3 UEFA Champions League home draw against Feyenoord. They became the first Champions League team to fail to win despite leading by three goals in the 75th minute.

Speaking on Amazon Prime, ex-City ace Gael Clichy said (h/t Mirror):

"I am lost for words. Going forward, you need to be given freedom but for defenders, there are rules you must follow. When you are defending and there is no pressure on the ball, you can't have your line flat. From a very comfortable game, 3-0 up, everyone thinking about Liverpool on Sunday, and now at 3-3, that will feel like a defeat."

Former Manchester City star and manager Stuart Pearce also pitched in:

"All the things we spoke about before the match, they were all there in the second half. The high line, individual errors. That's what has lost them the lead. I suspect there will be one or two home truths in the dressing room. Credit to Feyenoord. They kept going and kept going and their fans are celebrating like they have won the league."

Pep Guardiola's side, who are second in the Premier League standings with 23 points from 12 games, will next take on Liverpool on December 1.
