Barcelona fans have taken to social media to share their annoyance at manager Hansi Flick's decision to include Gerard Martin in the starting lineup to face Brest. Both sides are set to clash in the Champions League group stage at the Lluis Companys today (November 26).

Hansi Flick has placed Gerard Martin in a back four that includes Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, and Inigo Martinez. The 22-year-old left-back has been a regular face in the club's matches this season, especially in La Liga, where he has made 10 appearances and provided one assist.

His last full match came in Barcelona's 5-2 Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade, and it seems as though Hansi Flick is willing to trust him once more. However, the fans are not too pleased with this decision, and they took to social media platform X to share their concerns with comments like these:

"Gerard Martin. It’s all in God’s hands now," one fan prayed.
"Martin yeah Flick OUT," another was unhappy.
"Hansi for the first time I’m doubting you. Wtf is Martin doing here," a third was upset.
"Martin again? Hansi is starting to give me high BP honestly. I dont know what he sees in this guy that we don't see. jeez," another fan complained.
"Starting Gerard Martin is really annoying me 😒," this fan added.
"Flick and Martin gotta be having something fun with each other something going on with each other at this point why doesn’t he trust hector fort," another fan could not understand.
"Chai! Martin start!!!! Flick what do you see in this Martin GUYyy.. what exactly do you see in HIm. Does he impress you during the training then flop in a real match! Omg," a fan was annoyed.

Hansi Flick warns Barcelona to stop making mistakes

Hansi Flick has warned his Barcelona players to stop making mistakes ahead of their upcoming match against Brest. This comes after they slumped to a 2-2 league draw to Celta Vigo on November 23, following a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad on November 10.

These poor performances have seen them drop points, and Flick has warned the team to desist from making mistakes that could cost them again. He said to the press (via Supersport):

"It's about eliminating the mistakes, that's important. We have a lot of things to do better with the ball and that's the focus."

He showed caution about facing Brest, adding:

"They are doing really good, they deserve their 10 points and it was good how they played against Salzburg... They're a good team."

Flick will look to secure all three points, especially with Barcelona playing in front of their fans at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
