Cristiano Ronaldo posts 3-word message on social media following on-pitch outburst in Portugal’s draw vs Scotland

Cristiano Ronaldo shared a three-word message on social media following Portugal's goalless draw with Scotland on Tuesday, October 15. The international superstar posted "Seguimos juntos" on X with a photograph of the Portuguese team in a huddle. The message translates to "We continue together" in English.

Ronaldo's message came after the game saw an on-pitch outburst from the legend. Despite having 70 per cent of the possession and taking 14 shots, Portugal failed to get on to the scoresheet. They had to share points with their much inferior opponents.

Take a look at Ronaldo's post here:

Ronaldo did not like referee Lawrence Visser blowing the final whistle when Portugal were due to take a corner kick. He stormed off the pitch but not before raising his hands and repeatedly showing a thumbs-down to the officials.

The 39-year-old then took to social media to share his thoughts. He was left disappointed in this game despite having come off the bench and scoring a late winner against Scotland in Lisbon back in September. Scotland will feel that they ran away with a point from this game.

This is Portugal's only drawn encounter in the UEFA Nations League this season, and they remain on top of the Group 1 table with 10 points. Scotland, who have lost three out of the four matches they have played, languish right at the bottom.

Cristiano Ronaldo & Al Nassr have a tough test ahead

Ronaldo, who plies his trade for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, has already bagged five goals in the six matches he has played in the Saudi Pro League. He has also provided a couple of assists to go with those goals.

The Portuguese legend will hope to win the SPL title with Al Nassr this season after having run their arch-rivals Al Hilal close last season. Ronaldo helped his side get to the second position in their previous campaign.

A string of challenging fixtures await Ronaldo and Al Nassr after the international break. They are due to take on Al Shabab in the SPL and Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League within four days. Such fixtures will test Ronaldo and his side's fitness as well as longevity.
