"I hope you have a favorable environment around you and exceed the 1,000 goal mark"- Cristiano Ronaldo's former Al-Nassr manager tips him to surpass landmark

Cristiano Ronaldo's former Al-Nassr manager Luis Castro has tipped him to surpass the 1000-goal mark before his retirement. The Portuguese pair worked together in the Near East for 54 games and the former Manchester United and Juventus star impressed with his output in that time.

Castro hailed Ronaldo's exploits on the field and tipped him to surpass the 1000-goal target after he recently went past 900 in a recent interview. He wished his compatriot the best conditions to achieve the target, telling MARCA:

"It will not depend on it, but on the context. We tried to get the most out of Cris and we got him to finish 2023 as the best scorer of the year (54 goals). I hope you have a favorable environment around you and exceed the 1,000 goal mark."

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in fine form for Al-Nassr this season, bagging eight goals and three assists in 794 minutes across nine games this season. The Los Blancos legend will be keen to lead his side to glory this season after they have fallen short of Al-Hilal in the last two seasons.
