"I'm probably more out than in" – Liverpool star Mohamed Salah provides worrying update on future with surprise contract revelation
Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has revealed that he has yet to receive a new contract offer with the forward in the final year of his current deal.
Earlier on Sunday (November 24), Salah netted his ninth and 10th Premier League goals of the season to guide his side to a 3-2 win at Southampton. The 32-year-old has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 18 matches across all competitions in the ongoing campaign.
After the end of the clash at St. Mary's Stadium, the Egyptian stated that Liverpool have yet to offer him a contract extension. He said (h/t The Athletic):
"We are almost in December and I haven't received any offers yet to stay at the club. I'm probably more out than in [next summer]. You know I have been at the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end, it is not in my hands."
Salah, who joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, continued:
"As I said before, it is December and I haven't received anything yet about my future. I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end, it is not in my hands or the fans' hands. Let's wait and see."
Asked if he is upset about the club's stance on his future, Salah replied:
"Of course, yeah. I'm not going to retire soon so I'm just playing, focusing on the season and I'm trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I'm disappointed but we will see."

Last summer, Liverpool allegedly rejected a whopping £150 million bid from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad for Mohamed Salah's signature.
Asked if he is keen to move to Saudi Arabia, the Egyptian responded:
"I don't want to speak about that. I am focused with the team now. I'm very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I'm just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible. I'm just doing my best because this is who I am and I try to give it all for myself and for the club. We will see what happens next."
The ex-Roma star, who will next be in action against Real Madrid this Wednesday, has helped Liverpool lift eight trophies. He has registered 223 goals and 99 assists in 367 overall appearances for the Reds so far.
