Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has provided a positive update about Kylian Mbappe's fitness ahead of their La Liga clash with Celta Vigo on Saturday, October 19. The Italian mentioned that the Frenchman is fit and eager to contribute to the team in this game, according to Mario Cortegana of The Athletic.

Mbappe is a crucial member of the Real Madrid squad. He is expected to line up as their centre-forward in the game against Vigo away at the Estadio Abanca-Balaidos. It is a key game for them which they will try to win and move up in the La Liga table.

Mbappe did not feature for France in the international break and used this time to recover from a thigh injury that he sustained in September. A lot of speculation was made about him apparently being fit to play for France. Supporters of the national team were, therefore, disappointed with him not turning up.

Madrid, however, will be delighted to have him back and hope that he goes back to scoring goals for fun. In the eight games that he has played so far in the La Liga, he has found the net on five occasions along with an assist. His creativity up front with Vinicius Junior has been spoken about a lot.

Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid in the summer transfer window

Real Madrid are ranked in the second position of the La Liga table currently with 21 points to their name. Their arch-rivals Barcelona are leading the standings at the moment with 24 points. Madrid will be keen on defending their title by usurping Barcelona from the pole position of the league table.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti will hope that his star players, such as Mbappe, retain their fitness over the course of this long and vigorous season. If these players remain available for the major chunk of the season, Los Blancos could replicate their success from last season.

The 25-year-old Mbappe joined Madrid in the summer transfer window earlier this year, and continues to be rated among the best players in the world. His main aim to come to the Santiago Bernabeu was to win the UEFA Champions League, which he failed to do with Paris Saint-Germain.
