Real Madrid team bus involved in crash on motorway after Champions League loss to Liverpool
Real Madrid's team coach was involved in an incident on the road following their UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool on November 27. According to The Mirror, the bus reportedly had a collision with a lorry on the M40 motorway.
It was confirmed that none of the players or staff were in the vehicle when the incident occurred. A video showed the front of the bus damaged by contact with the lorry as it was parked on the side of the road.
The players were believed to have left Liverpool by plane following the match. However, the vehicle carrying the kits was still on the road and subsequently was involved in the accident. A similar incident occurred back in February this year. The coach collided with a white Toyota on a German highway after their clash with RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
It was a forgettable night for Real Madrid in Merseyside on Wednesday as they fell to a meek 2-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield. Goals from Alexis Mac Allister (52') and Cody Gakpo (76') in the second half handed the Reds a comfortable win.

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham opened up following the side's 2-0 defeat against Liverpool. The midfielder suggested that the Reds deserved the win while also showing support to his teammate Kylian Mbappe.
He said (via The Guardian):
"From the first minute, they took control of the game. We tried to force the counter-attack a few too many times. They were more up for it than us, which is really disappointing to say. But it’s no disgrace, against probably the best performing team in Europe.
"Mbappe’s penalty can happen. The pressure is enormous but it can happen to anyone. The penalty isn’t the reason we lost the game. I know – for sure – that Kylian will produce many more moments which will be key for this club."
After the hosts had gone one up, Los Blancos had a golden chance to equalize from the spot. However, Mbappe saw his effort beaten away by Caoimhin Kelleher with ease.
The incident compounded what was a difficult night out for Real Madrid, who struggled to get anything going against a resolute Liverpool side. They now find themselves 24th in the Champions League and need to pick up form quickly to secure qualification.
