According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via 90min), Juventus' senior executive Cristiano Giuntoli visited Manchester United and Manchester City to offer the club's two midfielders. The Italian giants have earmarked Douglas Luiz and Nicolo Fagioli for sale and are currently offering them to other clubs.

Luiz joined the Old Lady of Turin this summer from Aston Villa for a reported €51.5 million last summer but has only played 312 minutes across nine games. On the other hand, Fagioli came through the Italian giant's youth ranks and has made 61 appearances. He has scored three times and provided eight assists to help the club to one Serie A title and two Coppa Italia crowns.

The pair played 168 minutes together across seven games for Juventus. While they did not combine for a goal, the team averaged 2.71 points per game when they both played.

However, the Bianconeri are looking to part ways with both players. The report did not mention if Manchester United or Manchester City was interested in any of the midfielders.

"If Pep Guardiola comes in and asks me to be his assistant, you’d walk there!" - When Manchester United legend claimed he would 'walk' to be Manchester City assistant

In February this year, Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney revealed that he would 'walk' to Manchester City for the opportunity to be Pep Guardiola's assistant. The Englishman is the Red Devils' record goalscorer, scoring 253 goals in 559 games.

Rooney joined the club in the summer of 2004 for a reported €37million fee from Everton. He went on to win five Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League crown at Old Trafford, among numerous other honors. However, the former England striker revealed he would be open to working for his former club's cross-town rivals, saying via GOAL:

"It depends. If Pep Guardiola comes in and asks me to be his assistant, you’d walk there! But you see what Arteta is doing now and I strongly believe a lot of that is from learning what Guardiola was doing and so it depends on what the situation is.”

The former Manchester United star is the manager of Plymouth Argyle in the Championship. His side currently sits in 20th place after 17 games with 17 points.

Meanwhile, Manchester City currently sit in second place in the Premier League, seven points ahead of the Red Devils in 12th.
