Premier League juggernauts Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush. The Egyptian forward has been one of the breakout stars in the 2024-25 season, attracting the attention of a host of top European sides.
Marmoush joined Frankfurt from fellow Bundesliga side VFL Wolfsburg on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. He had a solid debut campaign with 17 goals and six assists in 41 games across competitions, but his second season has got the entire footballing world talking.
The 25-year-old is on an incredible run of form at the moment, with 14 goals and 10 assists in just 17 appearances across all competitions. According to TBR Football, Arsenal and Chelsea have scouted Marmoush and are keeping tabs on his progress.
While the two sides have taken a step towards his signature, a plethora of European giants are also in line to make a move for his services. Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona are among many clubs believed to be interested in adding Marmoush to their squad.
A striker by nature, he can also be deployed as a winger or an attacking midfielder, making him not only dependable but also versatile. It will be an additional asset that will be valuable for the club that manages to land his signature.
Marmoush's contract at the Waldstadion lasts until 2027, which means that any interested clubs will have to pay a substantial fee to secure his services. His current market value sits at around £33.5 million (via Transfermarkt), but a bid worth around £50 million is likely to be accepted.
Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung has claimed that they have not been in contact with Premier League giants Liverpool over a potential move for star forward Omar Marmoush.
A number of English sides, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Newcastle United are interested in the forward. The recent statement from Hardung emphasized that there hasn't been an approach from Liverpool or from any other top European side thus far.
He said to Winwin (via Anfieldindex):
"No, we have not had any contact with Liverpool regarding Marmoush, no negotiations or contacts. I know the people there, but there is nothing, there are no contacts with any club regarding the player."
Liverpool currently have Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota as their centre-forward options. Chelsea are also interested in him despite Nicolas Jackson firing for them in the 2024-25 campaign. Hence, Marmoush would likely be a better fit for Arsenal, who are still playing with Kai Havertz up top in the absence of a proper striker.
