According to SPORT, Barcelona are still interested in signing Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao next summer. La Blaugrana were heavily linked with the winger last summer, but a move failed to materialize.

According to Sports Mole, the €55 million release clause in Williams' contract was triggered by Barca, but the Spaniard chose to remain at Athletic Bilbao.

However, in a bid to bolster their attack, La Blaugrana have rekindled their interest in signing Williams. In 37 appearances across competitions for Athletic Bilbao last season, he scored eight goals and provided 19 assists.

Despite a dip in his recent form, he remains one of the most in-demand wingers in the transfer market. He has been linked with European giants such as Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Arsenal in recent times. In the 2024-25 season, the Spaniard has netted two goals and registered three assists in 16 appearances for Bilbao.

Williams' presence could enhance the level of competition on Barca's left-wing. His versatility means that the club would have two high-quality options, Raphinha and Williams, who can operate on either wing.

The Spaniard is contracted at Bilbao till June 2027, and he is valued at €70 million according to Transfermarkt.

Barcelona are interested in signing Devyne Rensch from Ajax next summer, according to a report by Tribuna. The Catalan giants have been in the market for a right-back for a while now, and the 21-year-old Dutchman is an enticing option.

As a right-back this season, Rensch has won 30 ground duels and registered 18 tackles. He has also registered 13 interceptions in nine Eredivisie appearances for Ajax. Rensch’s contract with Ajax expires next summer, and he's yet to sign an extension, which means Barcelona could sign him as a free agent next summer.

Primarily a right-back, Rensch can operate across the backline, which matches the profile of Barca's current starter in the position - Jules Kounde.
