Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe had a game to forget against Liverpool on Wednesday, November 27, as Los Blancos fell to a 2-0 defeat in the UEFA Champions League. The Reds ended their eight-game winless run against Los Blancos at Anfield.
Alexis Mac Allister opened the scoring in the 52nd minute after being set up by Conor Bradley. Los Blancos had a chance to draw level nine minutes later after Lucas Vazquez was brought down in the box, but Kylian Mbappe's effort from the spot was saved.
Liverpool were awarded a penalty in the 70th minute after Ferland Mendy fouled Mohamed Salah in the box, but the Egyptian winger also missed his spot-kick. Cody Gakpo put the final nail in Real Madrid's coffin when he headed in an Andy Robertson cross in the 76th minute to secure the win for Arne Slot's side.
Thibaut Courtois - 6.5/10
The Belgian shot-stopper had a decent game, making five saves from inside the box.

The Englishman was easy to miss in the match and could not help his side wrest back control of the midfield. He completed 33 passes and created two chances, but only managed three touches in the Liverpool box.

The Turkish midfielder was far from impactful for the Spanish giants against Liverpool. He showed decent linkup play with Kylian Mbappe in the first half and took four shots, but none tested the opposition keeper.
