At just 22, Pedri is already regarded as one of the finest midfielders in world football. Thanks to his incredible technical abilities, vision, and creativity, he is already a key player for both club and country.

Barcelona are reportedly desperate to tie Pedri down to a new long-term deal, with his current contract expiring in June 2026. They are reportedly very much hopeful that the midfielder will commit his future at Camp Nou at least until 2030.

Pedri was already named one of the five captains alongside Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, and Raphinha. The Blaugrana have already started contract talks with Pedri's representatives and have received positive feedback.

The two parties reportedly sat down ahead of Barca's 3-0 win against Brest in the Champions League in the midweek. The Catalan giants believe that Pedri is more than willing to sign a new long-term deal at the club and take more responsibility.

Pedri joined Barcelona in 2020 from Las Palmas and immediately started making his mark. He has already made 162 appearances for the Catalan giants while contributing 23 goals and 15 assists.

The technically gifted midfielder has also been a key player for Spain having already earned 30 caps for La Roja. He played a key role in their European Championship win in 2024.

Barcelona set conditions for La Liga star for next summer: Reports

Barcelona have reportedly set conditions for Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams for the summer transfer window of 2025. As reported by Fichajes.net, the Blaugrana have intimated the Spaniard that they will only make a move if he shows a desire to join.

Williams was the subject of interest from Barca in the summer but eventually snubbed the chance to join the Catalan giants. However, Barcelona have reportedly maintained their interest but will only make a move if the player wants to join.

The fleet-footed winger had an exceptional season for Athletic Bilbao last time out, scoring eight goals and providing 19 assists in 37 appearances. He also played a key role in helping Spain win the Euro 2024.

The 22-year-old has undergone a dip in form this season having contributed just two goals and three assists in 16 games. However, Hansi Flick's side are still believed to be very much keen on his signature.
