Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate Talisca will reportedly be unavailable for their upcoming Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Qadsiah. The match is slated for Friday, November 22, at Al-Awwal Park.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Talisca sustained an injury to the anterior muscle, where he had previously suffered an injury.
Following medical tests to determine the extent of the injury, Talisca has been deemed unfit to feature in Al-Nassr's upcoming Saudi Pro League fixture against Al-Qadsiah, as per @TheNassrZone on X.
The 30-year-old Brazilian forward's last major injury was a muscle injury he sustained in March, which kept him out for 119 days, forcing him to miss 17 matches for the Knights of Najd.
Talisca's reported unavailability in the upcoming league match will be a blow for the Saudi giants. The former Benfica forward has registered eight goals in 17 appearances across competitions for the Cristiano Ronaldo-led side so far this season.
Since his arrival at the Riyadh-based club in 2021, Talisca has netted 76 goals and provided 10 assists in 102 appearances across competitions for Al-Nassr.
Al-Nassr are currently third on the league table with 22 points in 10 matches and will be looking for a win against Al-Qadsiah to climb up the ranks.
Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate Aymeric Laporte opened up about his experience of training alongside the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. The 30-year-old centre-back arrived at the Saudi league side in 2023, following his five-year tenure at Manchester City.
Aymeric Laporte heaped praise on Ronaldo when asked about his experience of training with the Portuguese icon. He said:
"Training with Cristiano every day is something special, because you know what kind of player he is, a tremendous player. Cristiano is one of the best players in the history of football and a great example of a professional player."
Aymeric Laporte has contributed to five clean sheets while scoring three goals in 15 appearances across competitions for the Knights of Najd so far this season. He has shared the pitch 49 times with Cristiano Ronaldo, registering one joint goal participation.
