Manchester United are reportedly plotting a move for Liverpool target Milos Kerkez as Ruben Amorim looks to bolster his squad. As claimed by German journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils are eyeing a move for the Bournemouth left-back, also wanted by Arne Slot's side.

Amorim has a huge task on his hands if he has to improve Manchester United who have endured an underwhelming season so far. The Portuguese manager saw his side draw a 1-1 stalemate against Ipswich Town in his first game in charge.

As per reports, Amorim is looking to strengthen the left-back position which has been a problematic area for the Red Devils of late. Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri, Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell, and Benfica's Alvaro Carreras are all thought to be among the candidates alongside Kerkez.

Manchester United have two senior options at left-back in Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia who have both struggled with injuries since last season. Malacia is yet to play at all since last season, while Shaw only made his first appearance of the season against Ipswich from the bench.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also believed to be keen on Kerkez as reported by Plettenberg. The Reds are understood to be in the market for a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson who has shown signs of his ageing legs this campaign.

Kerkez has been impressive for Bournemouth since joining the Cherries in 2023 from AZ Alkmaar. The Liverpool target has made 45 appearances for the club so far having contributed with three assists.
