Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly unwilling to sell Kang-in Lee amid interest from Premier League clubs Arsenal and Manchester United. This is according to a report from The Athletic, which claims that the Parisians see the South Korean international as an integral part of their team (via The Football Faithful).
According to the report, the player not only has an impact on the pitch but also drives revenue for the club in the Asian market. Even if they were to let the attacker go, it is believed that interested parties would at least have to pay two times the €22 million PSG reportedly paid to acquire his services.
Despite the French outfit's demands, it is said the Gunners are keen on a move for Lee after the injury to Bukayo Saka. The 23-year-old is versatile and can operate on either flank.
At the moment, the north Londoners lack a left-foot replacement for the England international on the right wing. The only other potential option for a left-footed player is 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri, who has already featured in the role a couple of times.
Lee would certainly prefer a move to the Emirates over Manchester United, given the state of the Red Devils at the moment. Ruben Amorim's team are placed 13th in the league, while Arsenal are seemingly poised to compete with Liverpool for the Premier League title.
Lee has played 24 matches across competitions for PSG this season, bagging six goals and two assists across competitions. He's contracted with his French employers till the summer of 2028, therefore placing a fair bit of the negotiating power in PSG's hands.
Arsenal are reportedly going to step up their pursuit of Manchester United-linked attacker Bryan Mbeumo in the months to come. The Brentford forward, who operates on the right flank, has been brilliant this season, bagging 13 goals and four assists in 23 outings.
The news comes from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, who says the Cameroon international is a summer target for the Gunners. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
"Understand that Bryan #Mbeumo is on #Arsenal’s shortlist for a potential summer transfer. The Gunners are looking to strengthen their wing position."
It will be interesting to see whether Mbeumo is interested in the move, given Bukayo Saka is an undoubted starter on the right wing. Currently, the 25-year-old is contracted with Brentford till the summer of 2026.
