Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers will battle for three points in an Australian A League round five clash at the Sydney Football Stadium on Saturday (November 23rd).
The hosts will be looking to bounce back from the 2-1 defeat they suffered against Macarthur at the same venue a fortnight ago. They were reduced to 10 men in the first half following Hayden Matthews' double booking. Ariath Piol gave the visitors the lead in the 73rd minute while Patrick Wood equalized with two minutes left on the clock. Marin Jakolis scored the match-winner in the sixth minute of injury time.
Western Sydney Wanderers, meanwhile, claimed a 4-1 home win over Newcastle Jets. Nicolas Milanovic scored a first-half brace before completing his hat-trick from the spot in the 75th minute. Zachary Sapsford and Kosta Grozos scored a goal for either side in the second half.
The win saw them climb to eighth spot in the table, having garnered four points from as many games. Sydney FC are two points better off in seventh place.
Sydney FC are the pre-game favorites heading into this game. They have won four of the last five head-to-head games, including each of the previous three.
Western Sydney Wanderers, meanwhile, ended a four-game winless run last time out in the league.
We are backing the home side to claim a narrow victory with goals at both ends.
