It Ends With Us actor Blake Lively has recently filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, the director and co-star of the movie. As per an NBC report, the 10-pointer lawsuit was filed with the California Civil Rights Department, in which Lively accused Baldoni of se*ual harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and trying to damage her reputation through a targeted social media campaign.

In response, Baldoni has lawyered up and is represented by Bryan Freedman. He has also hired the PR crisis manager, Melissa Nathan, who represented actor Johnny Depp in his widely publicized trial against Amber Heard.

Heard was unanimously found to have defamed Depp by the jury during a defamation trial. In an exclusive statement to NBC News, Heard said:

“Social media is the absolute personification of the classic saying ‘A lie travels halfway around the world before truth can get its boots on.’ I saw this firsthand and up close. It’s as horrifying as it is destructive.”

Apart from Amber Heard, several prominent celebrities have expressed support for Blake Lively.

"We are struck by the reality that even if a woman is as strong, celebrated, and resourced as our friend Blake, she can face forceful retaliation" - Blake Lively receives support from fellow actors

An NBC report states that Lively's allegations against Baldoni include the addition of nude scenes that were not required or previously indicated in the script. He allegedly also commented on Lively's postpartum weight gain and often walked into her trailer while she was breastfeeding. She has also named Baldoni's production company, Wayfarer Studios, and producer Jamey Heath in her lawsuit.

Several celebrities have taken to social media to support Blake Lively. One of the strongest messages of support has been from Lively's co-stars from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel. They collectively put up a post on Instagram that says:

"As Blake's friends and sisters for over twenty years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation. Throughout the filming of It Ends With Us, we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set...

The post further continues:

"We are struck by the reality that even if a woman is as strong, celebrated, and resourced as our friend Blake, she can face forceful retaliation for daring to ask for a safe working environment. We are inspired by our sister's courage to stand up for herself and others."

The Twitter-verse, however, is divided in their opinions. While many have spoken out in support of Blake Lively, others believe she is just using her resources to defame Baldoni. Many others have oscillating opinions on the matter.

The discontent between Lively and Baldoni had been brewing for a long time, with them even doing separate press events to promote the movie It Ends With Us.

Baldoni's lawyers have described Blake Lively's accusations as "shameful" and "categorically false".
