Kendrick and SZA Grand National Tour 2025: Dates, presale, where to buy tickets, venues, and all you need to know
Kendrick Lamar is collaborating with singer SZA for the Grand National Tour. It is scheduled to start on April 19, 2025, in Minneapolis, with stops at various locations. The tour is in support of Lamar's sixth album, GNX, which was released on November 22, 2024.
Notably, both artists previously collaborated on the Championship Tour, organized by Top Dawg Entertainment in 2018. At the time, the duo was joined by other artists, including SchoolBoy Q, SiR, and Jay Rock, as reported by Pitchfork.
On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Kendrick Lamar and SZA posted a joint announcement on Instagram about the upcoming event. The post featured a poster of the two artists posing together. The caption stated:
“Grand National Tour @cashapp via card presale tomorrow at 10am.”
Lamar's album was dropped without any advance announcement, featuring 12 singles in the soundtrack. However, Lamar shared a teaser for the project on the day of the release through his social media page and official YouTube account.
GNX came out a few months after Kendrick and Drake's rap battle, where they released multiple diss tracks, addressing each other's personal and professional lives in the lyrics. A few of the singles even managed to reach the top of the charts.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA's Grand National Tour will end in June next year
As mentioned, the tour is scheduled to start on April 19, 2025, at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. With stops at multiple locations, the tour is set to come to an end with the final performance at the Washington, D.C.-based Northwest Stadium on June 18.
According to Uproxx, pre-sale tickets are available for sale starting December 4, 2024, at 10 am, and the same is additionally confirmed through the duo's joint Instagram post. Furthermore, the sale ends the following day by 10 pm.
People with a Cash App Visa card need to use the first nine digits to get the pre-sale tickets, as per USA Today. Apart from this, a 20% discount is provided to those purchasing the event merch on the site through the card.
The general sale of the tickets begins on December 6, 2024, in the morning through the tour's official website. But the prices remain unknown.
Coming to the locations, viewers have the chance to enjoy Kendrick Lamar and SZA's Grand National Tour at multiple spots such as the AT&T Stadium in Texas, Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, and Oracle Park in San Francisco.
A total of 19 places have been finalized for the event, and further updates are awaited regarding new dates to be added to the list.
GNX reaches the top spot on the Billboard charts
Kendrick Lamar's new album has been creating records ever since it came out around a week ago. A few of the singles have already received positive responses from the audience.
As per the latest update, GNX has now grabbed the first position on the US Billboard 200 and Lamar has additionally taken seven spots on the Billboard Hot 100, as reported by Variety. The album has already sold more than 300,000 units.
Since its release, GNX has created several other records, including nearly 379 million streams. Among the songs from the soundtrack, Squabble Up currently tops the US singles chart, as per XXL Magazine.
