Johnathan Jamall Porter, a.k.a. Blueface, seemingly got new face tattoos behind bars. In a TikTok video, first shared by user @bigstoner20in, circulating on social media this week, the rapper is seen flaunting his new ink while wishing a friend's sister on her birthday, stating:
"Happy Birthday lil sis from Blueface and your big bro."
The Thotina hitmaker turned himself in in January 2024 for violating his probation sentence. It remains unclear whether the tattoos are temporary.
As the clip went viral, with several accounts such as @theshaderoom posting it, internet users were quick to react. One quipped:
Many criticized the rapper for the face tattoo, saying he made poor choices. Some questioned why Blueface had a phone in prison. Here are some comments seen on @theshaderoom's post on Instagram:
Others joked about the tattoo, one even saying he was doodled upon.
Blueface's tattoo has sparked concern online, especially considering his on-again-off-again flame, Chrisean Rock, too, debuted a face tattoo of the rapper's mugshot earlier this year. At the time, netizens trolled her for the move.
Porter and Rock were in a relationship from 2020 to October 2023. They share a son, Chrisean Jesus Malone Jr. (born September 2023). The rapper has previously denied Jesus Malone as his son, which sparked several social media feuds between the pair.
In November 2022, Las Vegas authorities arrested Blueface for his involvement in a shooting that occurred at a strip club. He was facing charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and shooting a firearm. Following a trial, Judge Kathleen Delaney sentenced him to three years of probation. She stipulated that if he violated the terms of his probation, he could be locked up for two to five years.
However, after finding a viral video showing the rapper pulling a fan on stage and asking his fiancée to assault, Judge Delaney issued a bench warrant (in February 2024).
In July, Judge Delaney granted the rapper a three-year probation, suspending the two-to-five-year prison stint. The rapper had to serve a thirty-day sentence credited to time served.
However, he remained locked up for violating the terms of his probation, stemming from a separate case. In 2021, the rapper assaulted a security guard outside a San Fernando Valley nightclub. In August 2024, the case ended with Porter receiving a four-year prison sentence.
Last month, Blueface took to his Instagram stories to announce he would be out of prison in July 2025, writing:
"I'll Ce Out JULY Don't Blink!!!!!"
In August 2024, his manager, Wack 100 (real name Cash Jones), told TMZ Hip Hop that he was able to get the rapper's sentencing for the past two years suspended. However, after he was caught with drug paraphernalia (equipment related to drugs), the judge was forced to give him the maximum sentence.
Jones told the publication that he estimated Porter would be home in ten months. Elaborating, he explained that his client already served 440 days, and the State of California would only make him serve one-third of the remaining sentence.
Blueface is currently being held at Central California's North Kern State Prison.
