A Reddit post claimed model-turned-TikToker Nara Smith and her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, are Trump supporters. User @hairtie1 posted two screenshots in the Fauxmoi subgroup on Saturday, November 9.
The first slide showed Lucky allegedly reposting a TikTok video by conservative activist Scott Presler. The post celebrated Trump’s campaign’s victory in a lawsuit against Bucks County election officials.
The second slide displayed the 26-year-old Utah-born model allegedly following another conservative political activist, Charlie Kirk, on Instagram. Kirk led four of Trump’s campaigns this election season.
Soon after, the news spread to X, where several netizens shared their reactions. X user @matcharexia wrote:
"just heard that nara and lucky blue smith voted for trump and people are shocked… how dumb and naive do you gotta be to be shocked by that/ anyways i’ve always hated them for a REASONNN"
Another user, @wecantbefags, referred to Nara and Lucky as "tr*mpies" in a separate tweet that garnered over 4.8 million views. This user shared an Instagram screenshot as supposed proof, showing Lucky's username among those who liked a post by Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, one X user mentioned Nara's trad-wife controversy and wrote:
"not surprising when they literally promoting trad wife"
Netizens expressed their take on the supposed revelation.
"Not shocking. They're mormons, and she had her 1st child when she was 18," a netizen said, referring to Nara Smith's religion.
"Yeah are gen z dumb ?? They are Mormons . Mormons are republicans. Like," chimed in another X user.
"I mean they’re super conservative even if they’re models… glad I never followed them," commented one.
"fork found in the kitchen," joked another.
On the other hand, some defended Nara and Lucky Blue Smith's supposed political inclination.
"Nooo wayyy people have the freedom to choose their own political views and standpoint…lord," wrote one person.
"Everyone’s entitled to their own views, but let’s keep it respectful," an X user commented.
It is to be noted that at the time of writing this article, Charlie Kirk was not found in Lucky's Instagram following list. However, Lucky is currently following billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, who had campaigned for Kamala Harris to encourage business leaders to vote for her.
Nara and Lucky Blue Smith tied the knot in 2020 and are now parents to three children—Whimsy Lou, Slim Easy, and Rumble Honey. Lucky also has a daughter named Gravity from his past relationship with actress Stormi Henley. Since 2022, Nara has been posting cooking and homemaking videos on TikTok.
Recently, she and her husband garnered online attention for allegedly promoting a trad-wife lifestyle—a practice that emphasizes traditional gender roles. Due to its supposed conservative nature, netizens were not surprised to find out that Nara and Lucky are purported Trump supporters.
Some alluded to Nara's Mormon religion, claiming it supposedly influenced her to become a traditional wife. However, both Nara and Lucky Blue Smith addressed these controversies in recent interviews.
Nara Smith told Us Weekly at Clarins' Double Serum Generation 9 launch event in Austin, Texas, on October 23:
"We just do our thing. And if it resonates, it does. And, if it doesn’t, that’s fine."
In an interview with British GQ published on September 6, 2024, Nara addressed her TikTok videos:
"In no way am I saying this is normal or this is something people have to do in order to be a certain way."
She added:
"Whether it’s a meal idea, or a home-cooked meal I’ve made my toddler, or my soothing voice, or whatever it is, I just put content out there to inspire people. Everyone can take whatever they want to from my content."
Nara further clarified she is not under pressure to cook meals for her husband Lucky Blue Smith, adding they divide the household chores among themselves. While Nara cooks the meals, Lucky does the cleaning.
In a TikTok from March 2024, Nara addressed discussions surrounding her religion:
"I know that my religion is a very hot topic on the internet. I don’t know what I’m doing, I’m still learning and figuring out my own faith. I’m not in any way a hardcore Mormon or anything like that. I don’t wear garments. I didn’t get married in the temple."
Lucky Blue Smith and Nara have not made any public political endorsements before the 2024 presidential election. Thus, there is no confirmation on whether or not they are Trump supporters.
