Chicago Fire Season 13 episode 4: A high-stakes hearing

Violet's situation exacerbated after she had performed a C-section during an emergency call, which is not a part of a paramedic's job. Her actions resulted in her medical license being taken away, and she was moved to office work at Firehouse 51.

Even though there were serious charges allaged against her, Violet was determined to protect her partner, Novak, and took the blame all by herself. Chief Pascal knew that she needed help, hence he suggested that Violet find someone from the medical background to support her as she deals with the medical board.

Following the Chief’s advice, Violet went to see Goodwin at Chicago Med for advice. Unfortunately, Goodwin told her that the board is made up of renowned doctors who won’t be in favor of a paramedic performing doctors’ duties. However, she got advice from Goodwin to reach out to someone politically strong.

She went back to Chief Pascal, and he decided to handle the situation himself. He spoke to Lieutenant Vale, who at first was unsure but agreed to help Violet by bringing a powerful alderman to her hearing. That turned out to be very important, as the alderman warned the doctors on the board that he would reveal their wrongdoings, which worked in Violet's favor.

During the hearing, Paramedic Field Chief Robinson's unexpected support for Violet turned out to be a game changer. He agreed with her choice to do the C-section, saying it was the right thing to do to save the baby's life. This support, along with the alderman's help, led to Violet's license being restored.
