Outlander season 7 episode 10 drops next Friday, November 29, 2024, on Starz in the US and other streamers in other regions. The second part of Outlander season 7 has taken Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian back to Lallybrook, but their reunion is cut short.
In episode 9, Claire receives a letter from Lord John Grey asking her to help operate on his nephew in Philadelphia, as only she can do it. Meanwhile, Roger searches for his kidnapped son but arrives in a timeline different from the one he intended.
The ongoing season has been relatively mellow regarding drama, aside from Jamie's reunion with his ex-wife Laoghaire, but that drama is done now with their amended arrangement. Nevertheless, the Outlander cast and characters' lives are expected to get more intriguing and complicated as the series continues with its penultimate season.

Outlander season 7 episode 9 is titled Unfinished Business, which reflects Jamie's unfinished business with his ex-wife Laoghaire. When Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian return to Scotland, Jamie intends to apologize to his ex-wife, believing it is long overdue.
However, during their reunion, discussions about their failed marriage and Jamie's confession that he has always been in love with Claire leave Laoghaire furious. She accuses Jamie of marrying her out of pity, and while that isn't far off from the truth, it still angers her. Their walk down memory lane culminates in Laoghaire throwing a pot at him and trying to injure him with a pitchfork.
Despite this encounter, they eventually find common ground when Jamie amends their previous agreement. He agrees to give Laoghaire the Balriggan estate if she marries her lover and releases Joan's dowry so she can go and become a nun. This arrangement also allows Jamie to stop giving her alimony, and she agrees, eventually ending the drama between them.
Meanwhile, the old Ian is gravely ill, and both Claire and Young Ian are hesitant to leave for Philadephia. In the end, they both leave to help Lord John Grey's nephew, who was seriously injured in battle, while Jamie is left in Scotland.
As these happen in 1779, Roger is in Lallybrook in 1939 or 1940, looking for the kidnapped Jemmy. The problem is it's not the timeline he supposedly planned to go, as seen in his shocked face when he saw that he went to the time when Brian was still alive. He also meets Geillis Duncan while looking for an herbalist for Buck, shocking him even further.

Claire is set for Philadelphia, and Young Ian is with her to reunite and confess his love for his new woman. Meanwhile, Roger and Buck continue to search for Jemmy after he gets kidnapped.
The episode logline teases:
"Claire and Ian arrive in Philadelphia to help the ailing Henry Grey; Roger and Buck receive an unexpected clue in their search for Jemmy."
Whether the fellow time traveler Geillis Duncan will be helpful in Roger's quest to look for his son or if she's bringing drama to his search is anticipated to play out in the next episode.
