Outlander season 7 episode 9 is titled Unfinished Business, which reflects Jamie's unfinished business with his ex-wife Laoghaire. When Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian return to Scotland, Jamie intends to apologize to his ex-wife, believing it is long overdue.
However, during their reunion, discussions about their failed marriage and Jamie's confession that he has always been in love with Claire leave Laoghaire furious. She accuses Jamie of marrying her out of pity, and while that isn't far off from the truth, it still angers her. As these happen in 1779, Roger is in Lallybrook in 1939 or 1940, looking for the kidnapped Jemmy. The problem is it's not the timeline he supposedly planned to go, as seen in his shocked face when he saw that he went to the time when Brian was still alive. He also meets Geillis Duncan while looking for an herbalist for Buck, shocking him even further.
